Relentless across The Atlantic

Can you imagine how difficult it is wrestle the daily blog from a former
features editor? However at the moment Chris is taking a well earned break in
irons afore the mast whilst I get a chance.
This morning we reached our first notional waypoint of 20N30W – “ go south
until the butter melts then turn west “. So much of the positional routing is
behind us and we are in good shape to decide on how much southing or westing to
put into our next two weeks or so. This will depend on weather conditions, boat
capability etc.
I am blessed with an excellent crew all with a good sense of humour – which
is a basic requirement out here. Our daily routine starts at 0900 with a get
together breakfast of sereals and fruit after which the skipper increases his
popularity by stating which repairs, routine jobs are required. Lunch is planned
for 1300 and dinner for 1900 – so far we have only managed a combo of the two at
1700. We are throwing more food overboard than we are eating. Thats it for now
as it is not easy to stay in the nav table seat at present. On a final note at
1500 this afternoon we complete 7 days at sea and over a 1000 miles in the bag -
happy days !!
Fair winds from a happy and healthy Relentless
