So today has mostly been another mixed bag of sailing. Had the rags up for some good spells and were bombing along quiet nicely. Got a nice picture under the code 0 which is the pic of the day! We also had about 15 dolpins join us for about 30 minutes and were really jumping up out the water and having a good old play. We caught another small bonito this morning, but as we tried to get it on board it literally dived bombed the back of the boat and slipped off the hook. We then decided to have a changed of tack with the lures and sod the small ones and just go massive...sadly no takers.

We tightened up the backstay tension today. We also had the boards up to investigate the bildges. There was a bit of water in the forward cabin bildge so we've dried that out and will have a look tomorrow. It's fresh water not salt and suspect its coming down the mast when it rains.

We're back under engine again tonight and ramped it up a bit to 2100rpm and 8.5 knots with the aim of getting into Lanzarote before 10pm tomorrow night. Need a drink don't we! It's actually blowing E 21 knots when the gribs are showing 10, but its coming and going and looking quite black and squally. Sea is relatively calm but deciding to save the messing and stay under engine.....UPDATE change of plan, just put main and code 0 out and now doing 11 knots! Bombing along!!!
