Downhill in light winds

Yesterday we caught our second Dorado, which was a little bigger than the first. Paul fried it with seasoning & served it with rice, beans & fried cabbage. Felt like a Caribbean meal, man!
We have a daily radio net with a few other boats who left before us. Tigenello controls it & others call in. The other boats are all in front of us, roughly 500 - 700 miles ahead as they started 6 days before us. On that basis I think we have been making good time & catching them steadily. One guy, Sven, is single handed and he has been going 37 days so far and probably has another 10 to go. He is averaging around 70 miles a day. He said he had a swim under his boat and found if covered in barnacles & it was playing home to hundreds of crabs!! No wonder it's not going very fast. They are probably trying to swim back to Panama.
Life on board is chilled. We all read our kindles as we have a massive library of downloaded books. We watch the occasional film. And we watch the sea & stars, and practice our celestial navigation. So far nobody is showing signs of going crazy or desperately missing land.
