Fish back on the menu

We have taken down the ballooner sail as the wind picked up in the afternoon but we are still making 6.5 knots so St Lucia by the weekend!

Today we caught two fish - one about 15 inches, possibly a tuna which we put back and then another Dorado which featured in a magnificent chorizo and chickpea stew.

The crew have taken up daily exercise to maintain peak efficiency. Andrew does a circuit based on looking out the corner of his eye till somebody comes on deck, then proclaims "48,49,50..." Fitness has not improved but his peripheral vision is excellent.

Chris can be seen on the foredeck most afternoons wrestling a pair of braces. It's fascinating to watch but I can never tell who is winning. Today however the braces came out on top by two falls and a submission.

Roy is not a great believer in physical exercise but can occasionally be seen at the helm gyrating his hips to the music. In a certain light this can be quite hypnotic. I tend to turn the light off.

Rob follows a program of meditation and relaxation. So advanced is he in this mystic art that sometimes he can be in a state of deep trance, in his bunk, for two hours or more after lunch, his deep rhythmic breathing the only sign of activity.
