Good Afternoon Piccolo Fans,
Piccolo is currently smashing her way through
Easterly seas with some Easterly winds to help (?) her on her way. A wise
sailor once said "deliver your boat from west to east before the summer as you
will get favourable seas and winds to help you on your way".
Piccolo is not so sure this sailor had not been drinking rum or maybe we
are just a little unlucky with the conditions. The Azores are getting
closer but not much. The weather is getting better but not
much.
Today we awoke to some fine blue sky amongst the
clouds, some fine sunshine between the showers and some fine flat
sailing for the 2 seconds inbetween the swell. Currently
managing about 3.5 knots in the right direction (ETA Azores - Probably).
Matthew the Baker has baked his first loaf of bread ever. It is a fine
wholemeal loaf, currently stored in the warm oven and will be eaten with
lunch. The challenge will be to see if the crew prefer it to Heidi's fine
wholemeal loaf of yesterday. Yesterdays dinner was a fine pasta and cheese
dish with a dessert of Dairy Milk Whole Nut.
The wildlife has deserted us, not even a flying
fish has been seen in the last 24 hours (although flying fruit has been seen
diving from the nets above Heidi's bunk and landing on Sam during the
night).
Fight Update - Heidi V's Batterys. Heidi
still in total command, battery's appear to have run out of ideas power is with
Heidi.
Speed update - Same as before, no chance of speed
with the weather conditions as they are. 5 knots would be nice please
mother nature.
So, that's it for today, we're off to eat Matt's
loaf and do a little weather dance. If any of you are bored and want to
help please do a little dance for us too. It's quite easy, think John
Prescott at the Labour Christmas do.
