Bayona Bayona  42.07.244N 008.50.611W

Well we left today. I have mentioned before that leaving isn’t easy, however we packed up planning to head for Lexios. It was quiet in the harbor and hoping our autopilot had been fixed, we ventured around the breakwater. We were met with 4-5meter swells which as we were in a channel were breaking. We braved it for an hour until the AP broke and we limped back into port.

The difficult bit is that for an hour before leaving you are saying goodbye to all the nice people you have met. In particularly a nice Irish family with 4 kids (impossible names) that will be on the same route as us. Last night we hosted a dvd party for the kids and it is the first family we have come across. We are pretty similar so it is nice having someone to talk too. Anyhow we had to re hello them again after an hour. There needs to be a new English word for that rather than re hello. And it looks like we will be in Bayona a bit longer trying to work out whats up with the AP and waiting for the swells to subsist. Fortunately we have glorious hot weather, and I think I am going to the beach. Hannah has just cooked lunch, and I love her and pretty much everything she does. However this meal was awful (I know she never reads the blog) Anyhow you just have to eat it because she tried to cook us something. It was watery rice with I think boiled mince and some green stuff. Her and Gabriel thought it was cool. Reminded me of school food in Staffordshire and here I am sitting in the sun in Bayona. I think I am going to have to nip off to the petrol station for some of their rather nice pastries.

Also our boat is called Mithril, not our choice we bought it used and it is unlucky to change a boats name. For those of you who don’t know Mithril is a “magic” metal in Lord of the Rings. Which does mean that when people see the boat they assume we are LOR aficionados.  Nothing wrong with LOR its just I don’t want people to think I go to conventions or am into role playing.  Anyhow got to go and thank Hannah for a lovely meal.

Sincerely your elven lord
