Forget everything about what I've said about being
in paradise before on this trip... I've been wrong.
THIS is paradise.
Picture being anchored in 3 meters of water on snow
white sand in front of 3 palm covered coral islands. We are inside the atoll, so
the water doesn't even have a ripple going across it. It feels like we're
anchored in the World largest infinity pool. The visibility is so good that we
can see at least 30 meters under water.
Now we're about to do a drift dive in the south
entrance to the atoll. The current is quite strong, so you only dive in and
drift through the entrance, looking at everything as you pass
by. When we did it yesterday we saw manta rays, around 30 sharks, 1000 of
fish and a coral bottom you gave to see to believe.
Tonight we're going to have a BBQ and bonfire on
the nearest coral island, which has a diameter of about 100m and pink coral sand
hugging its circumference.
If I died here, I would die happy and
content.
Tomorrow or on Monday we are going on a dive, where
you routinely swim through swarms of around 300 sharks. It's like swimming
through a school of sardines, except that it will be big sharks.
