The morning started out with the already usual
small squall and a slight refreshing rain. As we are sailing further south with
only 1090 miles to go, it's getting very
warm. Today it was around 33 C. Once the crew were up and had their Fruit
and Fibre cereal, it was time to get to the task of the morning - sunbathing!
We were on a perfect direct course for St. Lucia, the wind was steady at
F5 with the autopilot on the helm. Out came the sun lotion, on went
Cesaria Evora and
the boys worked on their tans. As if something was not yet perfect in
Paradise, Neil went down to the saloon and returned with an interesting
bag. Then he gave
a short speech about how a strong and motivated team should have
special uniforms to unite them even more. He told us about how he used a top
international
buying consultant named Tia Booger from the House of Kirkham to select
the special uniform trunks, so we decided to do a fashion show on ESCAPADA for
you today. Thank you Tia for your outstanding choice.

THE BOYS IN
STRIPES
LADIES, WHICH ONE IS
YOURS?
You might think we have nothing else to do. Well, that is not so.
Sailing is hard work, especially if the wind does not want to cooperate to help
you stay on course at
top speed (an absolute requirement from Captain Flagpole). The
wind shifted and calmed down in the afternoon reducing our speed and
making it impossible to
maintain course, so we finally decided to finally put up the Parasailor
(again).
Preparing to hoist the
Parasailor
Words
cannot explain the double
beauty
After preparing all of the sheets and taking down the
Mainsail and Genoa, the Parasailor went up and opened like a beatuful
flower, She is now flying stable and
giving us over 6 knots of speed on course.
Should the winds remain stable as forecasted, it should take us all the way
into Rodney Bay, St. Lucia. It's already
beer o'clock, they are cold in the fridge,
the chef is cooking dinner and it's time to sail into the
sunset.
Ciao!!
