The crew of ESCAPADA has been enjoying the
hospitality and welcome of St. Lucia since our arrival. Our first priority and
the most
enjoyable event after our arrival
was the shower and our much awaited shave! The first couple of days
were focused on doing the
necessary boat repairs, maintenance and cleaning. The
evening welcome parties organized by the ARC gave us a
chance to personally
meet many of the boat crews we have tracked and seen
during our crossing and exchange impressions and experiences.
The highlight after our arrival was a visit to LeSpa, one
of the top Wellness Centers on the island. We pampered ourselves with
manicures,
pedicures, four-hand massages, facials and a
lazy day on the beach. The evening was a treat of a great dinner with a live
steel band and
Caribbean dancers. A wonderful way to chill and
enjoy the local flavor of being back on land.
Now it is time for us to simply rest and enjoy the sun and
peace of this Caribbean paradise before returning home next week for the
holidays
with a gift of beautiful memories
and accomplishment.
