Thursday afternoon, we decided to put up the Parasailer, since doing already 8 knots SOG under Mainsail and Genoa was not fast enough for our speed demon
Captain. We rigged all of the lines for the Parasailer (which is quite a tedious and time consuming process), then gently raised the sock and as the Parasailer
opened we all yelled with joy at the beauty. Unfortunately, the speed and course was not any different than what we already had with the other sails. After about
3 minutes, our joy was short lived as a shackle opened and the line holding one end of the sail disconnected causing the sail to flap wildly in the wind. The adrenalin
exploded as we all hurried in a frenzy to get the sail back down and keep it out of the water.  We packed away the Parasail, put up the Mainsail and Genoa (again),
returned back on course at the same 8 knots as before, realized we lost about 2 hours of travel time in the process and therefore decided to go have some cold beer
and enjoy the sunset and spicy chicken casserole for dinner!  All in a day's hard work....

Friday morning started out rather uneventful. The usual morning routine. Peter on watch and wiping down the cockpit,  Andreas with his bowl of Muesli turning on the
engine to charge the batteries and Manuel and Nick sleeping after night watch. So, we decided to try some fishing again. And soon that lovely sound of buuzzzzzzz,
when the line rushes out of the reel to tell us that a fish is caught. Of course, as soon as Manuel heard this sound it was like an alarm clock going off and he came
rushing on deck to bring in the big one. Peter finally got his picture taken with the trophy, because since he takes all the pictures as our on-board journalist and
photographer, he is rarely in them. Well, after the excitement we returned back to our duties, but not forgetting to throw the line back in again. The sun was shining,
Santana was playing on the deck and once again we heard that buuzzzzzzz sound. This time Andreas fought the battle and brought in the Yellow Tail Tuna which became
fresh Tuna Sashimi for appetizer, followed by risotto with zucchini and spicy meatballs.  Another terrible day in Paradise!!

We have only 1880 miles left to go to St.Lucia having already sailed more than 800 miles in the last 5 days. If we can maintain the speed we have averaged thus far, we will arrive in St. Lucia in another 12 days. Stay with us on the journey. Until tomorrow, be well and take care.
