Last night's rains gave ESCAPADA a much needed and
well deserved shower. This morning she glistened in the rising rays of the sun
like a young beauty. After
the
rain, the sky was crystal clear, the air was fresh and the
scent of the salty warm air surrounded us with it's balsamic caressing qualities. As we all arose, we felt that
after a week at sea, we just
wanted a lazy day to chill. On went the soft, wave
house-music creating an atmosphere of bliss and
tranquility.The waves rushing past the
hull occasionally sent a light spray into the air which
was a refreshing mist to cool us from the 28 C warm air
and baking sun. Lunch as
usual was a gourmet meal of
fruit salad, crab meat risotto and more fresh Tuna Sashimi
caught by Bobbie just after sunrise.
...AND THIS IS WHY IT IS
SUN-DAY GREETING
THE MORNING AT THE
HELM
A LAZY WELL-DESERVED SUNDAY AFTERNOON
The afternoon was quiet, calm and individual. Everyone did
whatever their heart desired. The Captain snoozed in the cockpit, Moses
worked on repairing some lines (this is how
he relaxes!) , Neil tangled his
toes in the quickly passing Atlantic waters hoping to interest a shark and
Bobbie took a sweet nap. What a wonderful day in Paradise!!
CATCHIN' SOME
RAYS..
MOSES ALWAYS WORKING ON
LINES HEADING
SOUTH TO THE TRADE WINDS
We have now sailed 1096 nautical miles with 1572
remaining. Winds veered to ESE so we changed to a port tack heading further
south to catch the Trade Winds,
where we will turn further west and rock and roll all the
way into St. Lucia. The Captain promises us a nice
reward and some culinary surprises when we hit the
midway point. Come and join us for the mid-way party on Tuesday - you are certainly invited! Enjoy your weekend.
Hugs and Kisses to all.
