Monday 4th July 2011 - Macinaggio, Corsica

When we left the weather was light cloud and hardly any wind. During morning the wind slowly increased to enable us to turn off the engine and enjoy a reasonable sail in force 2 to 3. Later , this gradually increased to force 4 to 5 and we reduced sail – while still making over 6 knots toward our destination. A course of 240 degrees to us directly into the port of Macinaggio; a straight line of 19 miles. Weather forecast is dubious for tomorrow so we may have to defer our trip round Cap Corse to explore the western coast line for a day or two. At least, we are back in France and we should be able to get some decent bread!
