Yes thats right; fish 6 boat 0, yet another lure bitten off by a monstrous denizen of the deep and with a steel trace on it too. Look on the bright side I told the crew, if the fish was big enough to bite through that we would never have got it on board anyway. And no you cant count the flying fish that landed in the wheel well as a catch, his mates threw him on to take the piss out of the appalling fishing skills on board.
Life goes on as usual however, we gybed onto port today to take advantage of the wind shifts and stay on the rhumb line, and it feels a bit weird to have the clouds coming from a new direction and the shade in different spots.
'Dude' watch had mother duties today and we ate the last of the carrots, so with only oranges and a few lemons remaining we need that fish for the vital vitamins required to prevent scurvy.
'Sweet' watch have the deck as the sun sets and we watch the cloud build upon the horizon, and yes they have started the usual game of eye spy. God knows how they manage to find so many things beginning with either B or S, I think theyre cheating.
