There is still hardly a wisp of wind, but the consolation is that this afternoon we saw lots of whales — none very close up, but it was still exciting to see various spouts on one side of the boat, several tail flukes on the other, and in addition an orca that leapt nearly all the way out of the water (possibly as it sped after the pod of whales that had passed by shortly before). In all we must have seen well over a dozen whales.
It has been a nice sunny day, and I have had fun doing some sun sights and other work with the sextant, practicing my celestial navigation.
We are now about to sit down to a nice dinner prepared by Grethe and Skip, and we are all looking forward to that, but we are also all very much excited to arrive and have a nice dinner ashore in Dingle tomorrow.
Peri and I will be back on watch at midnight tonight, which I am looking forward to, as that is about when we expect a bit of wind come in for the final run into Dingle. We now have 120M remaining to Dingle and expect to arrive in daylight tomorrow.
Greetings as always to our followers ashore. All aboard are well, as is the boat :-)
