Watergaw

Apologies for failing to record that we have managed to get the boat lifted safely and settled on the hard at Angra and find flights home that only took 12 hour to get home. We negotiated the stiff locks, the creaky hinges and the spiders' webs to get into the house, and have settled in.... It may be age, but it seems to have taken a long time to recover our ooomph! The bubble burst when we got to Cheshire, and re-inflating it has taken a good week. Now into the backlog of duties, in the garden and the house, is Scotland with the family, and working out what happens next.

The weather is pretty awful, and those who have sailed back from the Azores to complete the ARC have had an unseasonably horrible passage. If we are to bring her back to the UK (one of the options), we should be planning a trip before the end of July if the weather were to follow the traditional pattern, but the long range forecast is predicting unsettled conditions, so we are in something of a quandary.

We will see....
