(On Mon June 25 Cate spent the day packing, Benj keeping out of the way and doing light boat work and reading!)

On Tuesday the 1256 train to Glasgow was quite busy, so we were wise to have reserved seats.  The rain wasn't too bad, so we could enjoy the views of Lochs Tay, Awe, Lomond, Long and Gare, and the long stretch along the Firth of Clyde through  Helensburgh and Dumbarton to Glasgow Queen Street. The Alexander Thomson Hotel in Argyll St was too far to schlep Cate's bag in the pouring rain, so we jumped in a cab.  The rain remained steady and was not conducive to exploring the city, so we made a 100m dash to Wetherspoon's where Tuesday is Steak Night, and had supper there and an early night.
