Friday morning we topped up again with water and headed across Angmagssalik Fjord. Afterwe entered Torssukatak, looking at the head but couldn’t find a suitable depth, either too deep or too shallow and possible katabatic from the glacier.
Near the entrance we found a cove on the south side with little swinging room so dropped anchor anyway and ran out 2 shore lines to the shore with Mike’s belay bag of goodies just for this task. This kept us steady with the added advantage of the prevailing wind from the port quarter keeping the mosquito population away.

Mike, Alistair and I went for an afternoon walk as the weather had cleared leaving us with just broken cloud. We didn’t need to go far to find some great rock to climb to see fantastic views out across Angmagssalik. Mike and Alistair took some direct routes up the rock while I took the easier options to the same summits. Returned to Umiak after a couple of hours to confit du canard expertly cooked by Mike.
