We left Reykjavik yesterday having increased our crew by one. It was intended. Dave is sort of my brother in law, keeps a yacht at the Royal Northumberland with Di and is a Master Mariner. This is the original crew  a selfie!

We were expecting light airs and started with the code 0 (a lot larger than the genoa) but it is even lighter than forecast so we are motoring. I think we will make landfall further north than intended to reduce the crossing distance. I'm keen to not use all the fuel.

We saw a range of marine mammals on the way out, humpbacks, minkes and some dolphins leaping that looked like the Barnes Wallis bouncing bomb although too far away to get a photo.
