Distance to finish 520 nm

Another cracking day of sailing with sunshine, blue skies and favourable winds. Yesterday we had the Spinnaker out (see photo). Today we are back goose winged. We are really eating up the miles now and the finish line is getting ever closer.

I think onboard we all forget that it is December and Christmas is barely 3 weeks away now. I'm sure at home the trees and decorations are being put up. Christmas cards are being written and present shopping is reaching fever pitch. Christmas songs are on the radio and everyone has had enough of Kevin the Carrot and the Elton John Lewis advert.

To try and get ourselves into the Christmas spirit, and given we are now on day 12 of our crossing,  we have had a bash at reworking the 12 Days of Christmas using a few of the events and sights of our voyage.

The 12 Days of the ARC.

On our Atlantic crossing, Titania gave to me

Twelve days of sailing,

Eleven awesome sunsets,

Ten stars a shooting,

Nine Dolphins leaping,

Eight sun burnt sailors,

Seven Whales a breaching,

Six fish a flying,

Five minute showers,

Four soaring birds

Three Mahi Mahi,

Two (ish) days to go,

And a net trapped turtle that we freed
