AND THE FINAL RESULTS ARE NOW IN
Sixteen days after the start, and fourteen after Titania
finished in St Lucia, we can now confirm the final results are now in and
have been declared.
We are of course talking about
the Titania sweepstake and not the ARC Race Committee results for the overall winner.
We all had a guess at the final arrival time in St
Lucia. The range of results ran between 18.30 hours on Sunday 9th and 1600
hours on Wednesday 12th
December. I am pleased to announce that the winner, despite believing that November has 31 days instead of 30, is Freddie. The fact
that he simply read the ETA from the nav computer (he
was sitting near it at the time) is neither her nor there...
As a consequence, Freddie will be collecting his
winnings equivalent to £80. This will take place
shortly at the nearest bar, where the winner will
tightly surrounded by his
shipmates who will ensure he does not slip away before all the funds are
exhausted.
Well done Freddie for your
optimism in choosing our fast crossing time,
despite lack of knowledge of the Gregorian calendar!
