The fifth member of the crew is George the autopilot. George likes to be helpful but is prone to daydreaming and occasionally wonders off course. When this happens the boat rounds up so one of the crew has to always stand behind the wheel and keep an eye on him.

George is no Wally. When the going gets tough George takes to his bunk leaving the other four Wallys to stand in the wind and rain hand steering. Georges teacher says he could try harder.
