Average speed 7.6kt.  Trip 91nm.   Wind NNE F4.

After provisioning the boat with 26 crates of food and drink delivered by the local supermarket, we were almost ready to go. Just last minute downloading of the charts which turned out to be an 8 hour nightmare and was beginning to make us think we were never going to leave.  Fortunately by 1 am we had the charts so Skips and Iain cast off the lines at 0400 and we are on our way. South until the butter melts then turn right.

We haven't run the engine all day and have done 91nm in the first 12 hours.  We are stonking along at 8kt with a full main and Yankee poled out on the other side, goose wing down wind.  Everyone is chilled, chatting and reading books. This is what we thought cruising was all about.  Not the worry with everything breaking, limping from port to port, troublesome journey it has been so far.

Paul even got so confident he booked his flight home from Grenada.  There is a feeling we might actually get there.

Dinner tonight is Chili Con-Carnie with maybe a beer before hand or a nice bottle of red wine.

Life is good on the open sea today.
