We had some good news; son Mark had finally been given a joining date for the Royal Navy after more than 2 years waiting.  The other side of the coin is that we were relying on Mark to be the third member of our ARC transatlantic crossing, that is now not possible due to a clash of dates.  So, we are now looking for a third member of Roysterer's crew.  The crossing starts on the 25th of November so if anybody reading this is up for a challenge and is available from around the 20th November for a minimum of 4 weeks then get in touch.  The rally starts from Gran Canaria and finishes in St. Lucia so crew would need to be able to get to the start and fly home from the finish, all other costs excepting entertainment money is covered.  If you are interested contact me (Pete) on; zero zero forty four seven eight zero five 109754.

The weather here in Gibraltar has not been great; windy and cloudy so we've not really done any sightseeing yet.  It's ironic that the only cloudy weather we have had this summer is in a UK possession, perhaps UK weather comes with the territory.  I'll post pictures on the blog when we have some to show. it looks as if we will be leaving Gib for Madeira on Sunday as the weather looks to be settled by then so we will do an update before we go.
