I am doing this early (7.00am) while we have an internet connection and there isn't too much competition for the limited bandwidth.

St Lucia is a beautiful lush island, warm, some sun but it rains a lot!  We have enjoyed socialising with our cruising friends but they are all dispersing now and going their seperate ways.  Paul and Sheryl Shard headed  north on Christmas Day, Graham and Diane from Maunie headed to Martinique 2 days ago and Graham and Wendy from Oystermist went South to Bequia yesterday.

Christmas Day we had a social sit down lunch at the Landings beach side restaurant and there were 12 of us. New Years Eve we went and had a meal at Jambe de Bois on Pigeon Island and there were 8 of us.  After our meal Penny and I joined Peter and Heidi (Stormvogel) and Graham and Diane on their boat Maunie to watch the fireworks.  All very spectacular on Maunie's foredeck.

Today we are taking a Taxi tour of the island with Peter and Heidi so we should have more pictures for the next blog.

We still have some things that need sorting on Roysterer; we need to have the windlass remote rewired and to somehow unblock our blocked holding tank.  After these have been done we will ourselves head North to Martinique.
