The biggest suprise of today was that World Cruising Club the organisors of the ARC have decided to allow a delayed start from 13.00 on Sunday to 13.00 on Tuesday.  The racing division will still go on Sunday as planned but the cruising boats will be able to go as planned or opt to take a delayed start on Tuesday.  This delay is only the second ever delay in the ARC's 27 year history, the other delay being in 1989.  The reason for the delay is strong winds on the nose probably reaching 40 knots in the wind acceleration zones and a high sea state with 6 metre waves forecast.  Needless to say we will be delaying our start until Tuesday.

I meant to say in yesterday's blog that if you want to follow our progress you can go to World Cruising Club / ARC and select the fleet tracker.  This will give 4 hourly updates of position, speed etc.. for every boat taking part.  You should find us somewhere near the back of the field.

Yesterday I forgot to put pictures of Graham, Wendy and Martin from Oystermist so I've added one today. We now have pictures for our friends on Oojah, Maunie, and Seren Wen.  It's a shame that I haven't yet worked out how to put captions on our pictures.
