It's been a while since I last posted some photos.  Since then our Friends Pete and Lynn joined us on the boat and we've visited Gomera and La Palma.  Both are relatively green with steep volcanic valleys and pastel coloured houses clustered in villages set between the mountains and the sea.

We hired cars on Gomera and La Palma for a mere €30/day and were able to see the mountainous interiors of the islands.  The weather on La Palma has been changeable but we are told that this more represents November weather  than October.  Pete and Lynn left on the 19th and Penny and I are leaving La Palma today for the anchorage in Val Gran Rey and then on to Marina San Miguel on Tenerife to pick Mark up for his 2 week stay.

Pete helped me fit the Pacific Plus windvane which we will try out in the next couple of days.  We are still looking for our third crew member for our Atlantic crossing.  Penny and I are starting to think more and more in terms of a double handed crossing.

The following is a range of photos from Gomera and La Palma which will hopefully give a flavour of the islands.
