Tenerife Update with Photos

We have been pleasantly suprised by Tenerife, expecting it to be all geared towards mass tourism.  Santa Cruz is a pleasant city with some impressive monuments. Puerto de la Cruz is a pretty town and the botanical gardens are the best we've ever visited.  It was quite a walk to get out of Santa Cruz marina due to roadworks.  During our visit we saw HMS Edinburgh the last type 42 destroyer on her final deployment to West Africa and the Caribbean.  I expect we will se her again on our travels.
 
We are now in Southern Tenerife which is quite a bit warmer than the North considering that we have only travelled 35 miles.  Today we took a bus ride to Los Cristianos which is hghly developed for mass tourism.  Pete & Lynn are visiting tomorrow.
