Safe and Sound

Well we have made it to Sydney, safe and sound as they say. Although how
sound I'll leave you to judge. We left Southport last Wednesday afternoon
and arrived in Sydney mid-morning on Sunday. Our Captain Cook-style
passage went reasonably well apart from a couple of windless periods (one
particularly close to shore - within miles) - and a couple of windfull
periods, and I can tell you something...we are sooooooooo glad to be home.
Ripple II is now safely tucked away in the inner reaches of Sydney Harbour
and we are well ensconced on land. We still have to deal with the final
tidy up of the boat and of course the replacement of the engine etc. but
apart from that all's well and we are happy to be home and still waiting
for our feet to hit the earth.

Darren is in Sydney for Christmas amd Annie is in Corowa and both will be
in Melbourne on the 29th for the 3rd day of the Ashes (cricket for the
uninitiated). We wish you all a beautiful Christmas and lovely Holidays!

As far as I know the blog goes on and on - we will probably keep writing
till at least February and keep you up to date with our land trip to
Adelaide. Keep writing and keep in touch - Love Annie and Darren
