So yesterday morning we took our broken sail bag to a repair shop the marina had recommended which was a 25 minute taxi ride up in to the mountains. It was a very strange as it seemed to be someone’s house, after a lot of fast Spanish talking and hand gestures Anna told us (we think) it would be ready in 15 minutes. The lady that did the sewing sits in a hole in the floor with the sewing machine on the floor. Not sure if you can see that from the picture!  Then back to the boat to refit it on. When we got back the boys had washed down and Moose looked all shiny again with all the Biscay sea salt gone. Once the sail bag was fitted we had a couple of miles sailing and got the main sail up and back into its new bag, everything seemed to work well. Still not sure about the green reefing line but you can’t have everything.

Once again tied up in Bayona we had a beautiful walk around the castle which of course ended up with a couple of “local fuertes“ beers!!! Then off to the old town for dinner x
