Patter, patter, patter, thud!

This is the sound I heard most of the night and especially when I was going to sleep. What could that noise possibly be I hear you ask? Well...it seems Burley was feeling a little keener to explore around the boat last night and as he has not figured out how to simply walk up and down the stairs in the cabins - he jumps from the top step and it makes a loud thud when he hits the inside of the cabin Who said cats were light on their feet?! I was in bed already when I thought I heard him outside. So I lifted up the curtain to find two great big eyes that looked like saucers, peering in at me! At least he is feeling a little more confident! Not sure tonight will be the same as it is windy outside!

We are anchored at Double Island Point. It is directly opposite the southern end of Fraser Island. There are a number of boats here this evening and a few cars camped on the beach. It looks like it would be a good place to explore as there are a number of sand dunes around and we know how much I love climbing up sand dunes!

We had an absolutely beautiful day today. We sailed most of the way up - except for the last couple of hours (when we motored and sailed as we wanted to be anchored before sunset). We cruised along at an average of 5knots and it was perfect. I am yet to attempt any sort of cooking or baking while under sail but I figured at the moment I don't really need to! We are heading into Tin Can Bay Marina tomorrow for a few days so I will do some baking then!

Short and sweet tonight as I need to go and do the dishes - I have no idea why we couldn't bring the dishwasher! I am sure I could have managed to fit in somewhere! Anyway...dishes then start on one of my multitudes of books that are sitting on the shelf!

Have a lovely Thursday and I hope you are enjoying my ramblings as much as the photos!

I just love that you can be in the middle of the ocean AND on a mobile phone at the same time!
