Morning all!

If you were shocked yesterday when you read that I was at my computer at 7am then hold onto your hats my friends! It is (looking at the time on my computer) 6.40am and I am up (not necessarily entirely awake!), at the computer and the kettle is boiled. I know! I KNOW!!! It is shocking! What is this world coming to when I am not only waking but getting out of bed before my normal hour?!!! I ask you??? I don't know either but we will go with it for now.

We are sitting in Bundaberg Port Marina at the moment. We came in yesterday afternoon after a magnificent day of sailing from Rooney Point. We were sailing most of the way with three sails up at a speed of 6-7knots. It was pretty good fun! I saw one dolphin, one very big turtle and one very, very big whale splash on the horizon. That was all! So I am glad we saw some whales the day before. We got into the marina to be moored behind a cat called 'earthling' that was incredibly massive and with a mast that was nearly twice our size! She was also wider than us so you can only imagine what she might have looked like! Then when the sun went down, there were these lovely blue neon lights all the way around the outside of the hulls. Made it look like they were having a party!

This morning though, even though we are both awake at this ridiculous hour (WHAT?!!! I hear you say? Jon is awake and out of bed too?? I know! I know! ) it is cool and quiet and peaceful. Apart from the cat trying to open all the closed lockers and bouncing around everywhere (as he normally does but in more space!), it is a beautiful, clear morning and of course because the marina is down the river a little way, it is quiet. There are cormorants everywhere, diving, swimming, flapping about and I can hear other birds singing away. It is really lovely!

So once I get myself organised (which could take longer than getting myself out of bed) I will head up to the laundry to do a whole lot of washing and then later in the morning (hehehe) I will do some cleaning and baking. Jon is trying hard to fix the oven or get someone to have a look at it. I think he has a vested interest in actually having it working! However, for now, it's all good.

So on that note, I shall leave you to your wonderful hump day Wednesday and I hope today and the rest of your week is great! Oh....and if you are in Brisbane and going to the Ekka today for People's Day - best of luck battling through the crowds but I hope someone has  a strawberry ice-cream for me and pats some cows! I know I can rely on Ally to pat some cows and baby animals for me! Don't spend too much money and try not to get the germs of every person walking by and DON'T eat the dagwood dogs!! (Spoken from experience from working at the Royal Snack Bar many years ago!)

Ok, I really am going now!

Love lots,
Claris
