Thought I would update you with what's been happening as we are getting ready to go. As there are only 20 days left to go from today we are now trying to madly get everything done that needs to be done.

Jon has been doing all the stuff boat related and I am doing house related things. So there is stuff everywhere but the kitchen is about half packed up and the rest should be completed by the end of the week. As I was packing it all up, I was thinking about how easy it all was when the packers came and did it all! But alas....no packers this time! Helps to pass the time anyway! Apart from this, I have been testing out the pressure cooker which, I have to admit, is a brilliant kitchen item and I am looking forward to using it in the galley!

Jon has been sewing. Yes...you read correctly! He has been adjusting the mainsail cover so we don't have to take the whole thing off by undoing the clips underneath. He has sewn in a zip across the top so it just hangs to the side and we can pull the sail up without having to take the whole cover off. Very clever indeed! His next job is to make the cockpit cover. Should all be good and ready to go.

Apart from this, life is good and busy and we are trying to fit as much in to the next three weeks as possible! We will be moving onto the boat in about two weeks. So that should be fun moving everything on there. I am hoping there is enough space for everything! We will soon find out. Apart from moving onto the boat to get ourselves settled and organised before we leave, we need to get Burley (our cat) settled on there as well. We were planning on leaving him here but it was a sad thought, so we figured he has managed to survive us for 11 years, he may as well be part of the adventure. Besides, there are lots of people cruising with cats and apparently black cats are good luck on boats! So should be fun!

Anyway...until next time......

This is the before photo! Just in case!
