After taking a day in Messolonghi to get over the excitements of the previous leg and also to let the wind die down, we left very early on Wednesday bound for Galaxidhi. The first half of the trip was mainly motor sailing, but we passed under the enourmous Rion bridge, which is 3 Km long and is the longest multi span suspension bridge in the world.
Then the breeze filled in from behind us and we sped along all the way there, getting in to Galaxhidi at 3PM. Our longest daily run of 51 miles and a new top speed of 9.16 Knots!
Galaxhidi was a very nice town, full of yachts going one way or the other through the gulf of Corinth, all very friendly. We spent the afternoon exploring, and found a restaurant for supper right next to a play ground full of kids, great!
