After passing the shoals we headed North East and pinched as tight as we
could into the wind. We need to go East as fast and as far as possible,
By mid morning things had started to get a little rough. The Waves were
up. Just off the shoals is a massive underwater plateau of around 50
Meters Depth. The Seas around it go from 2000 meters to 50 meters , so
pushing up the waves and making for a very uncomfortable ride. Think Rodeo
bulls , bucking and turning and you will get an idea. Its a total mission
to get from one side of the boat to the other. One has to sit all the time
or get thrown down , and even getting the milk out the fridge can be a
hazard to your health as the fridge sliding door slams shut as the boat
rocks. By MId night we should be off the plateau and heading off into the
deeper ocean. We hope that the seas will be more comfortable and less rock
and roly. Other than it been uncomfortable , all is good .
