Saturdays Sailing , was well , just not sailing , Some very light winds had us motoring all the way up the coast. One thing that always astounds me is the wildlife on South Africa's coast. Whales were jumping , Albatross's soaring , baby seals following in our wake. And when night time set it , the Phosphorescence in the water made schools of fish seem to swim in a black ocean. Think Avatar with sparkly green colours around the fish and you will get an idea. Later on Saturday evening we received sever weather warning. A cold front was edging up the coast and we could expect 6 meter swells and some very strong winds. We were 20 Mile's past Mossel bay and decided to turn around and seek shelter in Port. As i write this on Sunday morning , the sun is out and there is a slight breeze but when we came in this morning at first light it was pretty nasty 5 miles offshore. We intend to wait out the weather before heading out again. Rather safe than sorry.
