Last night was a beautiful night , first time we have seen a whole sky
full of stars in a very long time. The winds were pretty light to boot. We
arrived at Langkawi at around 8 in the morning , we were planning on
Penang but Langkawi was closer and we had been to Langkawi before.

Langkawi is a duty free island , and with that , things are pretty cheap.
Diesel for one is cheaper than in South Africa. We filled the tanks ,
cleared in and out at customs and immigration , bought some drinks and
snacks and ciggies , jumped into the pool at the Royal Langkawi yacht club
, did some internet and headed out to sea. A quick 3 hours...LOL

We are now heading up the straights on the Malaysian side . So much litter
in the water , its heart breaking. Plastic bottles , buoys , cups , chip
packets.. I dont mean a bit here and there , but rafts of the rubbish .
Very gross. Its around 10 at night , Penang is off to our left and i am
sitting outside with no shirt on , sweating like a pig. Its very very hot
and humid. Mike has taken up to sleeping outside at the Saloon table , and
everyone is drinking litres and litres of water. Beats freezing our buns
off.

Mike says , Thank goodness we arnt Bobbing.. Hey bob...
