The more I sail this Indian ocean the more I realise that the analogy of
it been allot like a women is true. My old departed Friend Louis said that
the Indian ocean is like a woman , serene and beautiful , and then when
you least expect it it turns nasty and horrible. Then when its at its
worst it smiles at you. We are going onto day 2 of no wind , its flat calm
and we have our full sails out. There is a faint breeze every now and then
, but other than that , nothing. The full moon is out and makes the water
look like a thousand jewels on the surface of the small waves. The clouds
like tiny bits of candy floss silently float across the sky. You could
fall in love with it when its like this , but under this beauty there is
always this "feeling" , this brooding vibration that things could change
very quickly. So with the experience we have had over the last 2 weeks we
all keep a wary eye out for squalls that might sneak up on us at night.
We have around 1000 Miles to go until we head down the Malaca straights.
With all the moaning and groaning i do about the weather , this still
beats Rush hour traffic..
