and we have hasd a full day motoring towards st lucia
we are now 244 miles away so should reach rodney bay marina sometime on saturday but i have to admit that a little of the romance has died now we are motoring. there is a sense of freedom about sailing that is wuite magical that is lost when motoring. the boat is being pushed along rather than pulled along by the force of nature and the boat sits very differently in the water--- now we all just want to arrive
ive havent had time to read at all on the journey but today read an entire novel
we have had a very lazy day and the weather has been excruciatingly hot and humid. golly has slept for 6 hours and jason has been fishing and caught a new type of perch style fish about 2kg which we released
we did not eat lunch today it was so hot but have tried to drink a lot of fluid
skip has slept a lot today but excelled with bacon and chicken skewers with rice and peas for dinner
tomorrow is a day for cleaning outside and inside in readyness for arrival on land
a bit of a boring day today--- im not complaining i hear it has just started to snow and sleet in the uk
tonight we are sad to hear a crew member aboard the yacht ocean wanderer has died lasst from a suspected heart attack --- our thoughts are with his family
sleep tight
