Nimble Ape II

The Apes have had an eventful couple of days.  We’ve had squally weather passing through for the past 24 hours and have enjoyed winds seemingly from all quarters with gusts from 7 to 37knts.  Along with the squalls came some rain which enabled Ian and Newman to have a bracing shower au naturel.

The trade winds are now attentive to their duty and are behaving as advertised pushing us along at 7kts in a westerly direction.  So far we have logged 1170NM and are far enough down track to allow a change of chart, and are now plotting on one where we can see our destination (still showing 1914 miles to run).

We keep seeing various wildlife, dolphins most days and kamikaze flying fish seemingly intent on attacking Ian and landing on the deck.  No more fish have been caught...we think the first one was a fluke.
