Day 6 and we have just clocked up 1000NM, incredibly we are a 1/3 of the way to BVI The weather has been kind so far and we are broad reaching at 7-8kts in about 20kts of north easterly trade wind.  Fantastic sailing.

Yesterday was notable for two reasons.  The first: Newman was introduced to Porridge, I think ‘not sure about this’ was probably the verdict.  However, as he was chef for breakfast the lumps of coagulated Quaker Oats were entirely his fault.  The second:  I shall never malign Ian’s fishing skills again.  At 1330 yesterday afternoon Ian caught a Mahi Mahi, at least that’s what we thought it was.  Not wanting nature’s bounty to go to waste the fish, from hooked to cooked was about 4 hours and very tasty he was too!  Ian and Kevin in the picture with ‘the fish’.
