Departed Bonifacio on 18th June and arrived in Palma 41 hours later having covered a total of 342.9NM. Flat calm for the first day meant motoring but at least we motor-sailed for half of the following day.

25 knots of wind behind us with an uncomfortable quartering swell at night in the middle of an electric storm did not make for an ideal arrival into the Bay of Palma. I thought about the conductivity of our carbon mast often! Unintentionally approached an unlit naval vessel which suddenly burst into life showing minesweeper llights and warned us away with a bright flashing red. We altered course swiftly!

Spent a few hours anchored in Magaluf Bay until daybreak then headed for a nice, comfortable berth in Club de Mar, Palma. It's great to be back in the Balearics.
