Arrived in Puerto Banus 2 days ago and there hasn't been a cloud in the sky since. Temperatures are well over 30C and I'm pleased to report that our new boom mounted sunshade works superbly. I really don't know what we would do without any shade. Of course we cannot use it when sailing but Tilley hats, long sleeved tops and plenty of P20 offer some protection.

Banus is a crazy place. Went out for dinner last night at 11pm and the shops and restaurants were still open after 1am. The place is full of poseurs, show-offs and wannabees along with more than its fair share of beautiful people. So many Ferraris, Rolls-Royces, Bentleys and Porsches driven round the port that you stop noticing them after a while.

We were due to leave this morning for an anchorage at Ensenada de Los Berengueles, but our Genoa furler has stopped working and I'm awaiting news of an engineer visit. At €200 a night I hope it's today!
