After 20 calm hours at sea we arrived in Morocco as daylight broke. The entrance to the port was littered with fisherman's buoys and we couldn't raise the Marina Saidia staff on the VHF. Not what we expected! So we dropped the hook and waited and after an hour and a half received a reply.
Marina Saidia has 3 basins. The inner basin is complete, and the outer 2 are not equipped with any moorings or pontoons. Due to our draught (I always add on 0.5m) we berthed alongside in basin 2 which mysteriously did not have a least depth of 4m but 3.4m. Thank God for that extra 0.5m!
