We arrived in Shelbourne, on the Atlantic Side of Nova Scotia in the late afternoon.  After anchoring outside the yacht club we had to hoist our yellow, quarantine flag and wait for customs to come aboard and clear us for entry.

So far, Nova Scotia looked just like Maine, with it's granite slabs and pine tree forests coming down to the water, perhaps the houses were a tad smaller, but still huge by British standards.  Shelbourne was a quiet waterfront town, with a large natural harbour and not much going on.  There was a wood carver, a barrel maker, a craft stall with lots of knitted things and a cool little cafe, at least the facilities at the yacht club were good and John managed to scrub five days of crud from his armpits.
