We set off early morning in the dark and the fog, but the weather soon improved, cold but blue skies.  Saw dolphins leaping out of the water off the starboard bow much to Becs delight. Arrived in pleasant warm sunshine to what turned out to be an equally pleasant  town of Povoa de Varzim.  we did the usual scout around for a restaurant Ade and Becs treated us to a banquet.  Adrian will be forever dissappointed that the did not order the 'steak' for two at 15 Euros it could easily have fed all 4 of us.

We bade our farewells and set off for Porto.  All the pilot books said that Porto was an impossible place to enter and moor up so we had earlier decided not to go there.  However, a conversation with the lady opposite who'd been there many times soon changed our minds.
