Wow, September seems to have flown by.

On 18th September I left l’Estartit and started to head further West.   The next port of call was a place called Cadaques which was recommended to me by Greg who I met in SaTuna and what a great recommendation this turned out to be.

When I arrived at Cadaques I was expecting to anchor, but the whole harbour was laid out with mooring buoys, I was directed to one by a man in a rib.

More of the Cadaques Coastline:

After tidying the boat I launched the dingy and was off to explore.

One of the many back streets, there were a number of shops and boutiques:

From what I recall this was a hotel:

I am not too sure what these were,  I assume the original beacons marking the harbour:

It was possible to walk around the edge of the bay to the cape; it was a bit narrow in places though:

The following day I went to explore the church and two of the Museums.

The inside of the church at Cadaques:

The first museum I visited was the Cadaques museum, this had on display artwork of various artists including that of Dali who lived the next bay.

Next I went to Port Lligat which was rather a pleasant walk from Cadques and also was where Dali had lived.  There was the Dali museum in Port Lligat which I also visited.

Some unfinished art by Dali in the studio on display, this was original:

This picture was mounted on a mechanism deigned by Dali to allow him to move the paintings up and down:

The bedroom, it looks like separate beds for Dali and his wife:

This room was decorated with many pictures of people whom Dali had met over the years:

The garden where Dali would entertain his guests and swim too:

It looks like he had a thing about tyres.  The Mitchelin Man:

I stayed in Cadaques for two days and then headed towards France.  My last stop in the Costa Brava was a lovely anchorage in a pace called Cala Tamarina.  I anchored here for the afternoon and went swimming in the bay.
