We had a lovely sail in warm sunshine under the cruising shute from
Corryvrecken, up Shuna Sound and then up to the top of Loch Melfort. As
the sun was still shining on the south side at the head of the Loch and the
moorings on the north side by Melfort Pier were already in the shade, we
changed our destination and ended up berthed on the pontoon at Kilmelford Yacht
Haven with access to good facilities ashore. A jolly dinner of good warming and nourishing stuff from tins
soon had smiles on faces all round. Tinned tomato soup followed by tinned
curry washed down with plenty of good red wine supplied by the Major.
Chat over port, Madeira and chocolate was accompanied by a varied selection of
music from three keenly driven Ipods and went on for some time!! |
