Bequia

21-23 January 2020

We continued sailing North from the Tobago Cays passing a couple more of the Grenadines to arrive at Bequia.

We anchored in Admiralty Bay off the main town of Port Elizabeth and went ashore for provisions. Bequia is another small island but one that cruise ships visit from time to time so has the feel of a busier, slightly more commercial place, at least on the windward side.

We went for a swim and walked along Princess Margaret Bay and visited Jack’s bar.

The following day we walked across to the windward side of the island, a pleasant walk to the tiny Maritime Museum (which was closed). It houses three old whaling boats which we could, nevertheless, see through the open sided building.

On 23rd January we headed to St Vincent to meet Clarissa, Amanda’s sister, who was to join us for 10 days or so.
