The day was foggy and drizzly all day. We read a lot and took the
washing to the launderette. I found some containers for storing
clothes and rearranged all the stowage in our cabin. Ian continued
monitoring the weather forecasts. It was that sort of day.
We have worked out with John that the inverter should in any event be
rewired so that we can switch it on and off at the electrical control
panel rather than having to burrow under the depths of a bunk. John
is trying to find another inverter and has found that the inverter
that made such smouldering smells of burning has blown a capacitor but
not the fuses. Covey is still trying to find whether it will work or
not.
We had another nice meal on the boat. It was very comfortable sitting
round the table with the oil lamps burning.
