Today was a bit discouraging. We had thought that we might be able to leave but it seems that there is bad weather brewing so we can't leave today.

The day was also discouraging as having had one head out of action, the other one then developed a leak but Ian and Roger heroically fixed it - it only took them about three hours. We are awaiting a new pump for the out of action head which should arrive tomorrow afternoon.

Further, we managed to singe our inverter and so that had to come out and is being looked at overnight to see what the prognosis is. We have also found that there are other electrical problems with the circuit breakers which will need to be sorted out before we leave too. The navigation lights still need sorting as well. So maybe the weather did us a favour.

As evening fell the fog crept in and during the night we had a massive thunderstorm and buckets of rain. We woke up at 2.30 am because of the sound of dripping and had to go round closing all the portholes and hatches which had been left ajar for air. The rain was torrential but it was cosy lying in the bunk listening to it thundering on the roof.
